About Kindred
Kindred is a social media and digital marketing agency working with design, fashion, and lifestyle brands. We're a tight-knit team and we care about giving our clients content that actually looks and sounds like them. We give our team complete creative freedom in order to do that successfully.
About the Role
As a Business Development Associate, you'll own the entire top of our sales funnel: finding the right prospects, reaching out to them, and getting them to a first conversation. You'll build prospect lists, run outreach (across Instagram, email, LinkedIn, etc.), manage follow-ups, and schedule/reschedule appointments. Once a prospect has their first conversation, you'll hand the relationship off to one of our co-owners to continue the conversation through to contract signing. Everything before that first call is yours to manage. Over time the role could expand to include participating in sales calls, leading sales calls, and managing proposals through to contract signings.
We have existing outreach templates, message scripts, and prospecting sources that you can start from, but we don't want you to feel boxed in by "the way it's always been done." If you see a better, faster, or more effective way to prospect and reach people, we want you to run with it.
What You'll Do
Build and maintain prospect lists from a range of sources
Run personalized outreach via Instagram, email, LinkedIn, etc.
Manage follow-ups and move prospects through to booked conversations
Schedule and reschedule appointments with prospects
Maintain a clear, detailed outreach log: who you've contacted, what you sent, when, and where each conversation stands (a template will be provided)
Track and report on outreach volume, message effectiveness, active follow-ups, and appointments booked
Hand off qualified conversations to leadership after the first call
What We're Looking For
New or recent college graduates. We’re open to any major, although Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field is preferred
Strong written communicator. Comfortable writing outreach that doesn't sound like a template
Organized and self-directed; comfortable owning a pipeline and keeping detailed records
Resilient and motivated. Outreach means hearing "no" a lot before you hear "yes"
Not required to have experience with specific sales tools. If you identify one that would help you work more effectively, we're open to considering its use.
Bonus: experience selling and desire to pursue sales as a career path
What You'll Need
Your own laptop, reliable internet, and a phone.
To Apply
Submit a resume, your LinkedIn profile, and two short writing samples.
